Joaquin Drut calculations featured in Nature Research Highlights
A theoretical study of graphene by Dr. Joaquin Drut, a postdoc in the Nuclear Theory Group, and his collaborator Dr. Timo Lahde of the University of Washington is featured this month in the Research Highlights section of Nature magazine. Their calculations apply methods used for lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) to predict that a graphene sheet should become insulating when it is not resting on another material.
