Congratulations to 2009 Denman Award Winners
Congratulations to the MAPS student prize winners at the 2009 Denman Undergraduate Research Forum. Adam Reed, advised by Prof. Chris Hammel, J. Scott Moreland, advised by Prof. Ulrich Heinz, and Michael Roe, advised by Jay Gupta, are among six MAPS students who won the 2009 Denman Award.
Adam Reed, Physics major, won 1st place on his project "Broadband Ferromagnetic Resonance Using Co-planar Wave Guides."
J. Scott Moreland, Physics and Mathematics major, won 2nd place on his project "The Shear Viscosity of the Quark-Gluon Plasma."
Michael Roe, Physics major, won 3rd place on his project "Characterization of Hydrogenated Diamond Surface Conductivity."
