CDF stands for "Collider Detector at Fermilab".   Two assistant professors,  Richard E. Hughes  and  Brian L. Winer , have a research group on the experiment. The group works on  Top Quark Physics  and a tracking processor, the  eXtremely Fast Tracker (XFT) .  The group currently has 1 post-doc, Phil Koehn, and one graduate student who is starting in Fall 1997.
